Signed & Numbered, Limited Edition Giclees on Canvas
To print reproductions of his original artwork, Leonard must first
have a digital copy created. This
is accomplished by having the original painting scanned or professionally photographed,
and then digitized. This computer file is then given to our printer, who makes any obvious
color, tonal or con- trast adjustments before printing the first proof for Leonard's
review. Final approval of the first proof
is rare. More often than not, additional adjustments are required with a new proof being
printed after they've been made. This process continues until Leonard is fully satisfied
that his original work has been accurately reproduced and he 'approves' the final proof.
Once approved, the high resolution digital file goes to press. The
company that handles all of our printing needs makes use of high end printers that are
capable of utilizing standard 'IRIS' technology to print our giclees. Only 100% cotton
artist canvas and UV protected inks are used. An additional four inches of printed canvas
has been added all the way around each giclee to allow enough room to stretch it over a
two inch box frame before finishing it with a professional gallery wrap and attach- ing a
wire cable making it 'ready to hang'. There are no visible staples or canvas edges around
the sides or on the back of the finished product. Instead, the sides are a continuation of
the original image, or printed in a color (or colors) that compliment the artwork (unless
noted otherwise) and
the canvas edge is neatly wrapped on the back.
After signing and numbering the finished giclee, Leonard issues a Certificate of Authenticity which accompanies it at the time
of shipment.
We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a high quality
product that's superior in work- manship. We claim our giclees to be "better than the
rest" and even stake our reputation on it. We've went to great lengths to provide
such a high quality product, the only way to make it any better would be to protect it.
Before our giclees are stretched, a five ml vinyl coating is applied
to the printed canvas. With the giclee printing process being relatively new (compared to
other forms of printed reproductions) how well they'll eventually stand up to the elements
of our environment over a long period of time is un- known. But one thing we know for sure is that Grandfather Time and our ever changing environment will
have little, if any, effect on our giclees!
Our vinyl coating
also provides these other benefits:
» Our giclees are washable
Clean them with a soft cloth and window
cleaner
» Our
giclees are scratch and scuff resistant
You
don't have to worry about moving them or bumping into them
» Our
giclee colors are fully saturated and remain true
Our blacks are really
black and the vinyl coating provides additional UV protection
Seeing is believing. If, after receiving your order, you are
unimpressed with the quality and work-
manship of our product, simply return it to us in the original package within 30 days and
we'll send you a full refund of the purchase price. ( see our Quality Assurance Guarantee )
